As the Director of Blue Cities at the Charles River Watershed Association, I was involved with water-centric environmental restoration work in the Boston metropolitan area for over a decade. Under my leadership, the Blue Cities Initiative grew to include planning, design and implementation of a number of green infrastructure projects within the Charles watershed and beyond. I was deeply involved in public education and outreach efforts focused on urban restoration. I also conducted numerous public forums with stakeholders ranging from public agencies and institutions to private land owners and developers, as well as the community at large.

After wrapping up the fellowship I continued to manage demonstration projects in Boston, Waltham, Watertown, and Milford while being involved in advocacy efforts across the watershed. I also continued to lead the charge on sustainable storm water management and resiliency as part of the task force on the redesign of the I-90 interchange in North Allston. As the Director of Watershed Resilience I helped launch the Charles River Climate Compact in 2019. This initiative was able to help 21 municipalities in the watershed apply and receive a number of Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness planning and action grants from Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.
